I found this assignment very confusing. Aperoture is a very complex concept I could barely wrap my head around. After experimenting with various photos I figured out how to capture depth and depth of field. To capture depth I framed my backyard in a window, tried to create foreground with leaves at the bottom of my photo, and leading lines of a tree and a building ally. My framing photo has a lot of depth in the photo so does the leading lines of the tree. The foreground and leading lines of the building photos has a more shallow depth of field. To create more depth I would use framing or middleground, and foreground. For the second chalk photo there is a larger depth in the photo, so the f-stop was probably f11 or 8, because the more is in focus. The first chalk photo was less depth and less of the photo is in focus, the f-stop was probably f5.6 or f4. I think the first chalk photo is better, because it focuses more on the subject and gets rid of the less needed background. It also gets rid of a background that might not be very attractive. A larger depth of field will capture more of the photo and keep it in focus.
