Lines and Shape
For the line and shape project I took pictures of the landscape of the school, Thayer Street, and my home. Most of my photos are of walls, stairs, or doors. I changed most to black and white so the viewer can really see the photograph. I did not take any of my photos from close range, I really liked how from a further distance I could create implied lines. I was not far away from the pictures but I am not close up to the photos. Pictures like 1, 3, 5, 7,8, 9, and 10 are taken at a straight on view. While 2 is taken by looking up at the photo. But 4 and 6 are taken by looking down at the subjects. Photos 9 and 10 are taken vertically while the rest are horizontal. Photo 7 is following the rule of thirds, the top band is definitely creating a line that is in the top third of the picture. Also a grid is created throughout the photo. I feel that photo 5, is probably the best photo at leading the viewer through the piece. If you look at the photo the eye starts at the bottom left corner and is lead through the photo to the background
